Towards the end of my time in the US I made a few visits to Boston, New England’s most liveable city and also one of my favourites places in the nation. The journey isn’t far from NYC, being only about 3-4 hours so it’s an extremely accessible place to visit for a couple of days. Having already visited twice before, the majority of the time I stayed with my friend Jackson and adventured into the city and the surrounding neighbourhoods of Somerville, Cambridge and Arlington. The highlight of our adventures was gaining access to the top of the Old Customs House tower, which gave us stunning views over the bay area and the downtown skyline.
We visited Harvard again (while pretending to be students so we could join a networking and free food event) and explored the grounds of the campus. We also went to the North End district and had some more tasty food while checking out the most historic district of the city and the site of the Boston Tea Party escapade.
Because I’d already seen most of the downtown area, we also ventured outside of Boston into Massachusetts and went to Six Flags, New England, a huge theme park, and Crane Beach on the coast.
